Field may look tough, but images can be deceiving. In truth, He is a sore loser. No matter how many times he eats at an eating competition, He always gets second place. Then one day, He was immediately outmatched by all players, therefore being mocked at secretly. Humiliated, he quit participating the eating contest entirely. All he wanted was a bit of recognition from his family, hoping that winning will give them the will to see him. Losing all hope, however... He drinks himself in order to hide the humiliation, sadness, hopelessness, loneliness, and the sheer embarrassment of the mockery he's getting. But when he was forced to play the Persona Nonary Game, he suddenly reawakened his powers while trying to solve a puzzle he was placed in. He thought he awakened his newfound powers, but in reality he is one of the test subjects of Umbrella. He just suppressed them after the horrible tests he went through. Years later, he was enrolled into Hope's Peak High. Everyone at school made fun of him for being a sore loser and a bad sportsman, becoming the laughing stock. Since then, he decided to stay inside his dorm room and not going to class because of the constant treatment he receives, while Double-U receives more attention for his famous and endless appetite. Since then, he became very distant and antisocial, refusing to engage social activities even when important for schoolwork. Thus, he got tons of F's in all his classes. Still, Cat Makita, the Headmaster, keeps him even though he's failing since he's still a family member and understands that he's going through stuff. However, he soon becomes more heroic when he uses his powers to stop supernatural murderers known as Subordinates, killers who were chosen by the real Scissorman to become his subordinates. He also had a change of heart and personality: goofy, energetic, friendly, cheerful, moody, gluttonous, gassy, strong, and cunning. Field also helps free lost souls whose killer was never found by giving them an item and showing compassion and love for them, showing his soft heart.
