Forced to ascribe permanent residence on Earth after the implosion of her own world, she would be a major force in the effort to prevent the same fate from befalling Earth, during which she would also become romantically engaged with Alan Larson.

In cases where she needs to strike from a distance, she can channel her telekinetic energy to launch plasma bullets from the tip of her sword - an ability that's quickly put to use as her battle unit integrates into the civil defense forces of New York City.
