o I see, I kinda understand, whenever I go to hot countries, I always get sick,
outside would be super hot, then when you go inside the shops, hotels, trains,
taxi’s & etc.. it’s ice cold because of the air conditioner.
I know you’re disappointed, but your wife probably doesn’t mind, plus it’s not
about presents, is about presence 😊

My workplace is in a greenhouse, so it's very hot inside.
But it's very cold when I go outside. This temperature difference has a negative effect on my autonomic nervous system, making me feel unwell. Even young people can get sick, and it's even worse when you get older.
I always prepare a present for my wife in advance, so I'm a little disappointed that I wasn't able to buy one this year.

awe.. that’s so sweet, see you’re still young at heart, I actually don’t
remember when we last bought each other gifts 🤔same with other special
occasions, we stopped all that, as we gotten older, we usually just have a nice
meal, that’s about it lol 😆
