A ninja assassin who works under the shadow of secrecy, Asuka Shinji takes no sides in terms of active conflict. Not surprisingly, she trusts neither Sandra Mettaton's research teams nor the analysis expedition force, though she still gets mixed up in both matters despite her best intentions.

Asuka in her competitor's jersey. She experienced visions of life on Earth several years before the Grand Empress did and concurred accordingly in her clan's report on the fatal tremors of the Osiran planet. Among her visions was the practice of sports competition, which she introduced to Osiran society in all of its common forms as she gained knowledge of their rulesets (complete with a jersey numbering system for player identification). It is one of the only matters for which her clan allows an identifiable public exposure, and she is as fierce a competitor on the court as she is as an assassin.
