Ciel Phantomhive is the 12- to 13-year-old Earl of the Phantomhive family and the protagonist of the Black Butler (Kuroshitsuji) series. He is the current head of the Phantomhive estate, the Queen’s Watchdog, and the owner of the Funtom Corporation, a company known for producing toys and sweets. After his parents were murdered and his manor burned down on his 10th birthday, Ciel was captured and sold into slavery by a cult, where he endured severe abuse. He later formed a Faustian contract with the demon Sebastian Michaelis, who serves as his butler in exchange for Ciel’s soul, with the goal of exacting revenge on those responsible for his suffering.
