yamato is the manifestation of rex's abilities given form and he has several individual abilities that stem from rex's spectral arm abilities 2 of which being unique to the big guy as he can create shockwave projectiles that pierce targets and manipulate destructive energy in the form of black and purple flames that disintegrate objects when he hits them with said energy yamato's one and only objective is to protect his host Rex and fight along side him it he is somewhat cocky and often cannot speak so he uses sign language and gestures to speak
he also has the ability to make ethereal copies of whatever weapon(s) rex holds and has near absolute mastery over whatever weapons he gets his ghostly hands on.
i was inspired by nero's dmc4 devil trigger and based the idea of this guy's appearance to be a demonic reflection of rex's father jaxx.
Yamato requires destruction energy to remain manifested
And if he uses too much of said energy at once he dematerializes and fades away to regain his strength
This usually happens after the spirit uses an attack that uses destruction energy here are a couple,
• Maximum bet, it is sword slash shaped like an X and is made when yamato charges their spectral katana with energy then releases said energy as it is fired in front of him.
• Showdown, a combo of various sword strikes performed rapidly.
• Hell on earth, a charged punch or shockwave infused with destruction energy that causes a massive explosion upon contact.
Sometimes when yamato uses one of these special attacks the spirit announces said attack before performing it,
Yamato has a voice identical to Jaxx but it has and reverberating effect to it and sounds a bit more rough.
