Link is the silent protagonist and hero of Nintendo's The Legend of Zelda series, created by Shigeru Miyamoto. He is the Hero of Hyrule, chosen by the goddess Hylia to protect the kingdom from evil, most notably the Demon King Ganon. Link is typically depicted as a Hylian, an elf-like humanoid race with pointed ears, and is most famously known for wearing a green tunic and cap, wielding the Master Sword, and carrying a Hylian Shield.
Link’s role is consistent across games: he journeys through Hyrule, defeats dungeon bosses, collects items, and ultimately defeats Ganon to restore peace. His story varies by game, but his essence as a courageous, silent hero remains central.
