Darwyn Gonzales is a troubled kid and a normal student at Hope's Peak High. He is known to be arrogant, stubborn, distrustful, pushy, and timid. Darwyn is constantly bullied around and gossiped, and the way the jocks treats him is also heart-wrenching. He's either shoved inside a locker, has his food taken away, gets squished by the jocks bodies all together, etc. When Darwyn lost both of his legs, however, the jocks began to take pity on him. However, Darwyn wasn't having it, snapping at them for being mindless a-holes for treating him like a wimp, even going so far as to call one of them, who happened to be the most to bully him, a coward for picking on scrawny kids because he has something that the jock, name Puke Rokata, doesn't have: a mother. Puke could only tear up as the insult hits him hard, knowing that he doesn't have a mother. Darwyn had no one he can look up to, and blamed everyone whenever they want to forge a relationship with him because he believes that they're going to trick him into embarrassing him when in actuality their not. Darwyn would eventually begin to open up a little more as he feels a bit more respected and loved thanks to Fernando, his older brother, and Kala Makita, Fernando's girlfriend. Puke and Darwyn also forged a brotherly bond that can never be broken.
