So... Since there are already so many variations of one and the same character, I think it's time for some back story (not like anybody cares but anyway lol)
In this universe, there is reincarnation and soulmates. Io is some form of a deity who fell in love with Callisto, a mortal woman (I haven't decided if she was a warrior/ shieldmaiden or priestess/Wicca) and became her patron. Io was punished by a presiding deity for her bond with a mortal and was cursed to wander the world for many centuries in search for her lost soulmate. Once Io finds their soulmate, they will bind their souls together... or smth like that... Io has the power to make Callisto immortal (like, they will become immortal humans) or let Callisto live his/her lifespan and then reunite as two immortal souls and travel the universe together for eternity - whatever Callisto's wish would be. That's it that's the story lol. Ah yes, it's up to you to decide if Callisto has been reincarnated as man or woman (❁´▽`❁)*✲ﾟ*
