Cronically tired, he is often busy and has three kids. Wife left him because motherhood was an ill-fit for her. Out of consideration for their children and him, she didn't try to get much more than her car, clothes and so on in the divorce. He didn't fight her about during the divorce as he knew that it would just make things messy and harm his children. All he asked for was an explanation and she provided one; the truth. Painful as it was to let her go, he accepted her answer and signed the divorce papers.
Humans refer to and call him the 'Alpha'. He's literally just the guy in charge of Community Security.
His eldest son considers Apple to be a true Superhero while Dad is just Dad. Apple has made it very clear him how much his Dad does, which has given him an appreciation for what Ales does... But Dad is still just 'Dad'.
