Here's the Teto design I made for my newest original song, Retrograde. Due to more setbacks than I'd care to admit that delayed this song for a year, I didn't get the chance to use the final model in the MV, but I still used it as reference while making the final artworks.
With the theming of the song in mind, caught between your past and your future, wondering if you should even have a future, I decided to go with a design that slightly referenced both Teto's original UTAU design and her current SynthV design. I also wanted it to look, to be completely blunt about it, like an outfit you would wear to a funeral. This song is how I worked things out mentally after my mom passed away, so it didn't feel right shying away from that fact. That's also the reason I added the red spider lilies, common symbols of goodbyes and memories of lost loved ones. I also made her tail with the hair tool, it's not visible in this preview due to the fact it's technically hair and not properly rigged to her waist.
