Born with spinal defects which severely limit her natural abilities, Kyla Larson is only able to consistently control her neck and head without the use of her motorized bionic armor and its associated neural uplink. However, the efficiency of the technological advancements that support her physical function allow her to excel in her role as a cop for the Miami-Dade metro sector.

Kyla in her civilian armor. She wears a designer-label bionic frame when not on active duty in order to maintain the same functional lifestyle as she is afforded by her motorized police uniform. The design, which is classified as casual dresswear, is accented by its artificial spinal tract and three reactor panels - two on her legs, the other on her upper chest - which maintain constant power to the micromotors within for continuous, uninterrupted function.
